The new app allows biologists, hobbyists and anglers to easily identify which baitfishes are legal to use in Ontario’s waters. Developed by Toronto Zoo and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Clam Counter is a fun, user-friendly app supporting both beginners and experienced biologists who wish to contribute to freshwater mussel conservation in Canada.

Use Clam Counter like a field guide. The species list, photos and detailed key will help you identify freshwater mussels in the field, and you can also report mussel sightings.
