The OFAH currently has two fisheries-related positions open, with a third position to be posted in December.
First is the Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position based in Peterborough that offers unique and diverse opportunities leading this program for us. For those who don’t know me, and for those who do, I’m the current program coordinator but I am moving to a new role with the OFAH in the new year, managing all of the OFAH’s conservation programs. The Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program Coordinator job posting is available at: https://www.ofah.org/jobs/loasrp-coordinator/
Second, we have a new winter intern position open, the OFAH/Fitzsimons Financial Fish & Wildlife Conservation Internship for recent graduates from biological science and resource management programs. This 18 week position will be working with our conservation program and policy staff, and includes outreach, field work, and policy review and development duties. The OFAH/Fitzsimons Financial Fish & Wildlife Conservation Internship job posting is available at: https://www.ofah.org/jobs/fish-wildlife-conservation-internship/
Shortly we will also be posting our spring/summer intern position, the OFAH/Brokerlink Fish & Wildlife Conservation Internship, the seventh year for this annual position. This is also an 18 week position, from late April through to August, working primarily with the Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Restoration and Invasive Species Awareness Programs, but also with OFAH fish and wildlife policy staff and our other conservation programs. The 2018 posting is not available at this time, but for reference the 2017 posting is here: https://www.ofah.org/programs/ofah-student-research-grants/fish-and-wildlife-conservation-internship/ and we recommend interested candidates check the OFAH jobs page in a few weeks for updated information (https://www.ofah.org/jobs/).
The OFAH/Fitzsimons Financial Fish & Wildlife Intern posting closes November 13 at 11:59 pm and the Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program Coordinator posting closes November 19 at 11:59 pm.
