Interested in meeting fisheries professionals and other students interested in fisheries and aquatic sciences?

Come join us for our 2018 Annual Meeting and Conference at the Geneva Park Conference Centre, on the shores of Lake Couchiching near Orillia. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Trevor Pitcher, Executive Director (Acting) for the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research (GLIER) & Associate Professor at the University of Windsor.

Dr. Pitcher will be speaking about “Restoring Aquatic Biodiversity in the Anthropocene: Developing the Science of Reintroduction Biology”.

Those planning to present papers or posters must submit abstracts by January 26th, 2018. There are limited slots available for oral presentations. Poster presentations can also be accommodated. Papers are solicited for all aquatic resource topics, and on completed studies, preliminary results, or case studies. Abstracts should be submitted as email attachments to Bill Glass (president@afs-oc.org). See the Notice and Call for Presenters for details.

Student presenters are eligible for the E.J. Crossman Award. An award for best student poster and Outstanding Mentor Award will also be presented.

Registration is open through the Online Store. AFS-OC Members and students are eligible for discounted rates. Special early bird rates available until February 9th.
